Barney is running the TransLantau 100km to support finding a cure for Motor Neurone Disease - in honour of Adrienne Scott

Running has always been a passion for Barney and running for MND is a cause close to his heart. At the end of 2015 we were devastated to lose Barney's Mum, Adrienne, to MND. She was such a vibrant, witty and kind hearted person to be around and has left a huge hole in the Scott/Laney family. This disease needs a cure - this has been the inspiration for Barney in challenging himself to run this tough course in Hong Kong. We would love it if you could contribute to the MND NZ to support his effort.

I want to express my gratitude to everyone who supported me during my journey to complete the Translantau 100km. Your encouragement, kind messages, and generous donations meant the world to me and kept me going through every challenge on the trail. And Man, there were a few!

Crossing that finish line was not just a personal achievement but also a testament to the amazing community around me. I couldn’t have done it without your support—whether it was cheering from afar, contributing to the cause I was running for, or simply believing in me.

This experience has been life-changing, and I know Mum would have been so proud of her Boy.
