Sharis Running 90Miles to support Kind Hands A respite care facility for our beautiful tamariki that need extra support.

Northland

Sooooo Ive decided to RUN! Yes RUN the equivalent of 90mile beach in Northland or 88km over the month of February! I am doing this because I am passionate about people making a positive difference for the lives of our tamariki.

I am a teacher and know how hard it can be for parents to find the right people to care for their child especially if they require extra support.

I am doing this for Kind Hands, who have set up a purpose-built cottage, offering respite care for children who are aged under 6 years, have a disability and/or are medically fragile and/or are technology dependent. Although the facility is located in Whangarei, it is intended to benefit all children in the above categories throughout Northland is the only such facility offering respite care to these children.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
