A respite care cottage for children who have a disability and/or are medically fragile and/or are technology dependent.

Most children with medical needs or who have a disability are allocated funding.
However often a child does not fall under one these categories and the Trust will help those families requiring assistance for their stay.
They will be able to apply to the Trust for the funding to help!

Kind hands IS a purpose-built cottage, offering respite care for children who are aged under 6 years, have a disability and/or are medically fragile and/or are technology dependent. Although the facility is located in Whangarei, it is intended to benefit all children in the above categories throughout Northland AND is the only such facility offering respite care to these children.
Kind Hands is designed to accommodate children who have medical needs, whilst also providing a homelike environment. Kind Hands is a home away from home and has been designed to make it a child friendly home where families can leave their child to be cared for by experienced and qualified staff.
