This page is rallying support to help Simon, who is battling Multiple Myeloma.
Auckland
Join me in the fight against Multiple Myeloma by supporting Simon's battle for life-saving medication. I'm stepping up to make a bold statement: if we can raise $5,000 or beyond, I'll shave off my beloved beard!
Simon's courage in facing Multiple Myeloma inspires me and it should inspire you all. But the reality is, fighting this disease comes with significant burdens, especially when it comes to accessing essential treatments in New Zealand. Daratumumab is not funded in New Zealand and Pharmac have denied Simon's special consideration pleas. It will cost $220k for the first year, so every dollar we raise will directly contribute to Simon's medication, ensuring he can focus on what truly matters: his family and well-being. We have personally met this family and I want this dad to reach a couple of small goals in life of seeing his youngest start school and his oldest to get his license.
Your support means everything. Whether it's $5, $50, or $500, every contribution brings us closer to our goal and closer to shaving my beard off!
Together, let's rally around Simon and his family, showing him that he's not alone in this fight.
And remember, our support should not stop at $5,000—let's continue to show Simon and his family how much we care. How much can we raise together?
