Simran Donates Her Hair

"To us, it’s hair. To women battling cancer, it’s hope." My hair will grow back so I don't mind losing it to give hope to another.

Auckland

Hair is just hair, right? Except for some, it is not as easy as that. Patients suffering from cancer lose their hair as a result of the treatment they undertake. So, I have decided to chop off my ponytail, donate it to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Program and to raise funds to donate to the Cancer Society NZ.

My hair will grow back but their's might not. With the beautiful lengths program, my hair will be used to create a wig which will be given free to a woman suffering from cancer. Although I have chosen an American based company to donate my hair to (as it is given for free directly to a woman suffering from cancer), all of the funds raised will be given to the Cancer Society, New Zealand.

I'm involved because I feel like if I can help someone by just getting a haircut then I should.
