We’re are standing with Tearfund to #SleepOutForSyria. A one-night event sleeping outside to raise funds for the Sryrian refugees in Lebanon
Wellington
We are joining with churches across the country to ‘Sleep Out for Syria’ by sleeping outside churches to raise awareness of the millions of refugees who have fled their homes, and to stand in solidarity with Tearfund’s partner, the Lebanese Baptist Society, who are helping refugee families on the border of Lebanon and Syria.
It symbolises the church as a place of hope where people in need can turn to. Funds raised go to Tearfund’s Syrian Refugee Appeal, which in turn goes to the Lebanese Baptist Society to help them continue to help families in need.
We are a church community who want to do everything we can to help the innocent victims of the conflict in Syria. We are standing with Tearfund to support their work with refugees.
an icy night but a rich experience 2 July 2016
Our sleepout has happened! What an awesome night - well done everyone who braved the -2degree frost and spent the night together on the hill at St Marys. A fantastic learning experience and a great community spirit! And we are all so encouraged to see our donations going higher and higher towards the revised target of $2000. Only just over $200 to go. This page closes on Friday 8th July... can we push it over the target??!! Thank you so much everyone who has given.
