Speed Freaks Barbie-Q Chicken Marathon Run

Hello!! I am raising money to help pay for Speed Freaks participants to run the Christchurch Marathon next year. The Speed Freaks is all about supporting recovery from addiction and mental distress through running and walking.

Running a marathon isn’t just a massive achievement, it's about building confidence, connection, and a sense of purpose.

To help make this happen, I’ll be running the Christchurch marathon dressed as a chicken… inside a Barbie box (yes, really). I will be accompanied by Speed Freak Kieren, who kindly offered (what was he thinking?!) to run the whole marathon with me.

Kieren is a Speed Freaks participant, and it feels pretty special that someone who’s been supported by the kaupapa is now giving back and supporting me, while I volunteer with the crew too – a full circle.

Your donation will help get more people to the start line (and the finish line!) who might not otherwise have the chance — and will also make this ridiculous chicken / Barbie dream feel slightly more justified. 🐔 This is poultry in motion...
