Taking part in the Dunedin Half Marathon on World Suicide Prevention Day to raise funds for the Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust
Otago
On World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10th, I will be taking part in the Dunedin Cadbury Half Marathon. Along with a group of other young people, I will be plodding along 21km in honour of a close friend and all those who have lost their lives or been affected by suicide.
This is with the aim of raising funds for the Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust to help raise awareness of suicide, increase the support available and remove the stigma surrounding mental health. Suicide rates in New Zealand are alarmingly high, with the highest number of male teen suicides in the developed World. Get involved and help a good cause. All donations are super appreciated and go
a long way whatever the amount. All proceeds go directly to the Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust.
Help end suicide.
As a member of a community which has been directly impacted by suicide, I will be running the Dunedin Half Marathon to raise funds for Suicide Prevention and contribute to ending suicide.
