It is often said that it ‘takes a village’ to raise children, but we are seeing so often now that those traditional villages are few and far between. This, along with the cost-of-living crisis means we have seen our client numbers quadruple over the last year. We desperately want to improve what we can offer, and continue to operate our centers, but like everything, this comes with a cost.

At Pregnancy Help, we are passionate about the wellbeing of tamariki and their carers. We all believe that children should have access to the basic items needed to thrive and that caregivers are supported in their journeys. We pride ourselves on being a completely free service, with no criteria, breaking down barriers to access. We provide clothing, books, toys, equipment, bedding, sanitary items and packs to anyone wanting a little assistance.

As long as Pregnancy Help continues to operate, no child in our area aged 0-5 has to go without seasonally appropriate clothing and other essentials needed to get a good start to life. So many of these items are provided through donations from our community and created by our team of volunteers, just amazing!

Most people will fall on hard times at some point in their lives, be it financially or emotionally. Help us be a safety net for our whole community.
