We don’t have much to give financially so have decided to take a page from Shaan’s book and give with our time and effort.

In 2007 I shaved off my hair after fundraising for Child Cancer. Without the power of the internet and Facebook I fortunately managed to donate $1667 to this cause.
13 years on I’m going to shave my lid again and hoping to do just as well fundraising, specifically utilising the aid of technology.
This time raising funds for a personal cause much closer to home - Our 20 year old nephew, Shaan, who was diagnosed with Germ Cell Cancer earlier this year.
2020 has been a rough year for many, but especially so for Shaan and Kaila, Shaans partner and his rock through this all. Due to Shaans treatment he has had to put his Electrician Apprenticeship on hold, while Kaila has also had to quit her job due to the multiple and unpredictable absences from work to assist Shaan through treatment, hospital stays and travel to and from chemo in Palmy.
Transport, rent, kai, utilities and their shared caregiving of Shaans godson continue so this is our way of helping keep the bills at bay while mahi is on hold.
Shaan is our nephew. We don’t have heaps to give financially so fundraising is our contribution to the cause.
Shaans 21st 20 December 2020
Kia Orana Anau,
Last night we got to celebrate 21 years of our nephews life. It was a wonderful evening full of love and speeches of how amazing this kid is. Not a dry eye in the house at many stages. It’s been nearly a month since I did the hair cut and wow it’s grown so fast and so awesome to see Shaan with fluffy hair back on his head too. Want to send one last thank you from myself, Nigz and Shaan and his whānau for the generosity you’ve shown for this cause.
Fingers crossed we have many more celebrations in years to come.
Arohanui Tash. Xx
