Supporting and educating those affected by acromegaly and their families
The NZ Acromegaly Society brings patients together with regular social gatherings and educational seminars. We produce regular newsletters and have produced a range of information booklets. We now have over 100 members from across the whole of New Zealand.
Our "Get Active! for Acromegaly" event will be held on the world Acromegaly Day, on 1st November 2016.
Because our members are spread across the country and have different physical abilities due to our illness, we have designed this event so participants can set their own goals. Participants can choose to run, walk, bike, swim, or whatever they can do.
Funds raised from our last fundraising event, the "Activithon" in Feb 2015, were used to produce our GP information brochure. This was sent out to over 4500 GPs across the country. You can download a copy at: www.acromegaly.org.nz/healthprofessionals
For details follow us on: https://www.facebook.com/acromegalysociety/
Join us to raise awareness of acromegaly whilst having a bit of fun. All funds raised will go towards raising awareness of acromegaly.
The NZ Acromegaly Society aims to provide support and education to patients, families and medical professionals involved in acromegaly.
