Medical emergencies, accidents, search and rescues . . . the Trust Tairawhiti Rescue Helicopter crew responds to call-outs that take them to some of the most remote outposts of te Tairawhiti.

Eastland Helicopter Rescue Trust is a charitable trust set up to provide communities all over the region the security of an on-call emergency helicopter response, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We work to fund the Trust Tairawhiti Rescue Helicopter, which flies more than 300 missions a year to locations from Mahia and Waikaremoana in the south, to the East Cape and around to Te Kaha.

And the crew couldn't do it without you. Although our service is free of charge, to remain operational the trust must raise $700,000 a year as our community contribution.
