Elder Care Volunteers

Elder Care Volunteers

We alleviate loneliness among care home residents through volunteer companionship.

Auckland

On average 61% of care home residents live with persistent loneliness. We believe that everyone, regardless of age, medical condition, or living situation, deserves access to meaningful social connection. Whether you are five years old or ninety-five, meaningful relationships provide the basis for healthy social wellbeing. Our aim is to alleviate loneliness among care home residents through volunteer companionship. We support the formation of volunteer-resident friendships in care homes throughout Auckland.

More about us

We believe that a happy life is a social one: a life filled with interactions that stem from meaningful relationships. We support the formation of friendships between care home residents and volunteers in central Auckland.
