The Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoors Education Trust (Hillary Outdoors) was established in 1972 by Sir Graeme Dingle with Sir Edmund Hillary as original patron.
For over 45 years, Hillary Outdoors is positively influencing the wellbeing of our Nation's young people by creating life-changing outdoor learning experiences that provide youth with the skills and knowledge to be caring and confident contributors to themselves, family, and our nation.

This year, 20 July 2019, would have marked Sir Edmund Hillary's 100th birthday. To commemorate his Centenary, join Hillary Outdoors by raising awareness and funds for Sir Edmund Hillary's New Zealand outdoor education charity, allow more kids to learn through adventure by taking part in 100 Years. 100 Adventures. $100,000 fundraising event.

Life changing NZ outdoor education experiences via programmes that inspire young people.
Charitable trust established in 1972 by Graeme Dingle with Sir Edmund Hillary as original patron. In the spirit of these inspirational leaders, the organisation introduces people to the NZ outdoors and participants explore the potential within themselves. Through Hillary Outdoors programmes, skills such as teamwork, leadership are developed, sowing the seed for change, like greater independence and self-esteem. There are two centres based in magnificient remote locations; Tongariro and Great Barrier Island. The organisation also runs a nationwide programme of multi-sport events for secondary school students.
