Kiwi Outreach is all about Kiwis helping Kiwis. Cambridge based helping Cambridge people. Supporting Cambridge High students
Kiwi Outreach has changed a bit over the 8 years we have been operating in Cambridge.
Our target focus is families who are struggling with the cost of schooling. So we sponsor students at Cambridge High School throughout their entire school years: like new school uniforms, sports uniform, laptop, sporting equipment, trips and some extramural activities.
We presently sponsor 15-students.
We've partnered with the Cambridge Community Centre as a requirement for acceptance is the applicants uses the centers budgeting services, so we ensure all monies goes to those who need it.
Our approach is we build a long term relationship, not only with the student but his or her family.
Two important things:
1) we only sponsor Cambridge Highschool students
2) no board member is paid, all funds received goes directly to our student's.
Kiwi Outreach is slightly different: we want to provide struggling families and individuals with basic necessities they can’t afford or put off buying: like new school uniforms, sheets & bedding and essential electrical appliances.
Partnering with Cambridge High School 6 February 2016
We all now how expensive it is for school uniforms and stationary. Cambridge High School has joined with us in a pilot program to assist Cambridge families by referring people to us.
It isn't about helping the poor, it is about Kiwis helping Kiwis.
A helping hand when people are simply struggling!
