Help us build a new adventure playground for the only secondary school in Wānaka
Wanaka, Otago
The Parents and Friends of MAC community group hopes to build a new adventure playground at Mount Aspiring College in Wānaka. We are working to raise $80,000 to complete the playground in 2024.
The playground will be an inclusive space designed to encourage imaginative play and physical activity and will feature a range of climbing structures and surfaces.
From Principal Mrs Nicola Jacobsen: “As the only secondary school in Wānaka and with enrolments having grown over 18 percent since 2018, we want to provide our 1300 students with the best possible learning environment. The new playground will be a wonderful addition to our school, allowing our students to explore, take risks and challenge themselves in a safe and fun environment.”
We are seeking support from the community and visitors to Wānaka to help fund this project.

MAC is the only secondary school in Wānaka. MAC is coed, public, and serves 1300 students Yr 7 to Yr 13. The roll has grown over 18% 2018-2022. Naturally zoned north to Makarora, east to Tarras & Queensberry, south to Cardrona, & west to the Southern Alps
