Our Children Are Our Future is a popular saying but we want to make sure that our children have the best possible future.

At Partners Porirua, we want to ensure our children have a positive outlook on life and, in particular, their working life.

By bringing role models from business and community into the classroom we are helping teachers to enthuse young people about their future and raising their awareness of the wonderful opportunities that lie ahead. For some students this is the only opportunity they have to learn about the working world before they leave school.

Each year we bring together business and community with schools to develop projects and activities to make curriculum learning relevant and interesting. These projects may be about science and technology, social studies, environment, civics, health and social enterprise.
