Paws Awhile Animal Sanctuary

Paws Awhile is an independent animal sanctuary that provides a safe haven for animals rescued from abuse and neglect. The sanctuary is located in Raglan, in the beautiful Waikato region of New Zealand.

Paws Awhile has been struggling over the past years due to ever-increasing vet, feed and farm management bills.

We are run on Anna's part-time wage as a nurse, but this is not covering the bills and we are running at a constant loss which is unsustainable. We would appreciate financial support to be able to continue doing our work providing a safe haven for abused, neglected and abandoned animals.

On top of her resident rescue animals, Anna has had extra large vet fees recently due to chained dog Rocky's surgery and several other large animal bills. She has also been providing on-going support for Rocky. The bills are by far exceeding her part-time wage.
