We are a small organisation,we rescue all animals in distress. We care for them nurse them back to health and put them up for adoption. We also deliver food to homes that has dogs on chains and are unable to feed them. We build shelters when by law we are unable to take the dog from the owner. We drive hundreds of kilometres to pick up,support and educate.

We are in desperate need of funds to help our ever growing Vet Bill! Vet bill donations can also be made directly to Vets North Silverdale. This is currently up to $25,000.

We need Food 🙏. Kitten food! We are desperate for cat litter! We need puppy food! Lots of it! Our sanctuary is bursting at the seams. Come on Pixie Followers!! You tag us, we run. We sleep with one eye open. The phone always in reach for that midnight call! We drive all over New Zealand! We take what ever is in dire need. We save the neglected, the abandoned, the hungry. We feed life chained dogs , we build shelters , we drive hundreds of kilometres to trap abandoned kittens, sick cats and even land up with the odd possum and pigeon. What ever you can do! Our sanctuary needs you!! If you can help our with anything! Food, litter, donations for vet bills! We also take stuff we sell on markets over weekends! Our drop off base is 66 Wilson Road DairyFlat.

June 2020 Update   1 July 2020

Posted by: Pixies Animal Rescue Trust

As you all know we survived COVID-19 as a charity. But it has been extremely hard on us like so many other rescues and of course businesses. Pixies rely solely on the generosity of our supporters., we receive no government funding at this stage. The Pixies Team would like to thank all our volunteers, family and of course our amazing supporters. Without you we would struggle even more, so again thank you, we totally appreciate all the on going support that we have been blessed with. As some of you may know, during Covid-19 we set about looking for a shop for our new venture Pixies Treasures. We are now up and running after a few set backs 😳😂 We are located at 5 Tamariki Avenue Orewa. We are still in need of signage and more volunteers but we are getting there. We have a full house of rescues both cats/kittens dogs/ puppies. Also we have massive vet bill, it is literally scaring us silly. So we thank everyone who makes a donation no matter how big or small. If you have not need to our rescue yet, please call or message us to make a time to come meet us! We would so love to see you all there soon 🥰
