Rabbit Rescue Hawkes Bay

Rabbit Rescue Hawkes Bay

RRHB provides foster care for abandoned, unwanted, and abused rabbits.

Hawke's Bay

The primary goals of Rabbit Rescue Hawkes Bay is to rescue abandoned, unwanted and abused rabbits without prejduice to age, gender, breed, type, ot other issues; to provide foster care; to spay and neuter; to provide medical and rehabilitative care; to find permanet quality homes for them;

to educate the public and assit humane societies, animal control officers, and other rescues, in teaching proper rabbit care to the public;

to reduce, primarily by public education, the number of rabbits abandoned at shelter and/or turned loose when no longer wanted.

When you adopt, you are helping rabbits twice: you're giving a discarded bunny a second chance, and you're freeing up foster care spae to enable another homeless rabbit to be rescued.

Rabbit rescue will only take up to 10 rabbits at a time due to costs, and property. we hope to change it in the near future with the support that is greatfully giving by the community.

It would cost us around $200 to give 1 rabbit another chance. (Spayed/Neutured $150, Vaccine + Health Checked $35, Food for a month $20)

We need supporters like you for our rescue center.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
