Ruakaka Dog Rescue works with the community to help, support, educate, rescue and rehome dogs in the Ruakaka area. We desperately need help
Supporting and educating people with dogs in the community. Desexing, vaccinating and providing food and shelter for dogs.
We have been actively involved in rescuing or helping to rescue over 20 dogs. Where owners agree we offer vaccinations and desexing, we educate owners to reduce roaming. We gratefully accept donations which enables us to rescue more.
We aim to bring about change and introduce responsible dog ownership to our local community.
We want to reduce the numbers of dogs bred, traded, unregistered and without vaccinations that roam the streets.
We aim to promote, and provide where possible, de-sexing in order to decrease the number of unwanted pups born every year.
We are small but we are extremely grateful to have the support of an amazing group of skilled people from within in the dog industry throughout New Zealand. These people and our Facebook supporters help us everyday to work towards our goals.
