Supporting local heroes through sport—every donation from our hurling clash helps fund St John Wakatipu’s lifesaving work.

Queenstown’s biggest and boldest sporting rivalry is back!

On Saturday 21st February, the Queenstown Band of Brothers welcome Christchurch GAA to the Queenstown Recreation Ground for an action-packed charity hurling match that promises skill, speed, and serious heart. After past victories on both sides and a year of forced silence, the rivalry reignites with both teams battling it out for the coveted Lindis Pass Trophy. Founded by Irish expats, the Band of Brothers have turned this annual clash into a true community celebration, raising vital funds for St John Wakatipu while showcasing one of Ireland’s most thrilling sports.

With massive local support, proud sponsors, and cash donations welcomed on the day, this is a must-see event. Book it in, bring your mates, and get behind the lads for an unforgettable day of sport—for a great cause. 💚🏑
