Tamai Sports is supporting healthier tamariki and healthier communities by enabling participation in sport and strengthening overall hauora by removing barriers.

We do this by providing a safe and positive social and culturally appropriate experience for tamariki, whānau and schools where the outcomes live long after the programme has finished.

Outcomes from the programme include:

- Improved physical and mental wellbeing

- Creation of social connections

- Reflection of cultural identity

- Improved knowledge and skills

- Lifelong participation in sport and recreation

Barriers removed:

- Transportation

- Uniforms

- Equipment

- Food (afternoon tea & hot meals provided)

- Mentors
