Speaking up about how special Te Arai is, and being a voice for the endangered species that live here, as well as for all the folks who love the beach in it's current wild, undeveloped state. We also look after the dotterels (and any intrepid Fairy Terns) during breeding season at Te Arai Canal.

Continuing to protect the special things about Te Arai. The upcoming Auckland Plan calls Te Arai a 'biodiversity jewel', and to date they have not allowed any urban development at the site. We also have more dotterels (and Fairy Terns in 2012!) nesting and breeding at Te Arai Stream since we started our trapping and monitoring work
