The Koha Shed Whanganui New Zealand

The Koha Shed started from a small household garage back in 2012, by a woman with a vision in helping others. Now close to 5 years on The Koha Shed has expanded nationally and internationally. We are a non profit organization that solely relies on the generosity of others in time of need.

We help provide furnishings, clothing, linen, white-ware, kitchenware, toys and anything a Family in need requires.

No money, No worries, The Koha Shed is a place where people donate unwanted items that others in need can utilise. Freely we received and freely we will give with no expectation of payment.

We also provide emergency food parcels over weekends when no other agency's are available to help families with children. We supply enough to see them through the weekend and until they can access other help. The fundraising via this Givealittle page will go directly into stocking our food bank and enable us to provide emergency help in any way we can and without funding at times we have been unable to assist. Your help in this area will help us maintain our core purpose.

We run a Christmas Gala where we give gifts to children, free sausage sizzle, drinks and chippies, Mini Train Rides and bouncy castle's etc

Staffed solely by volunteers who share the passion to improve the lives of everyone in the community.

Koha is a New Zealand Māori custom which can be translated as gift, present, offering, donation or contribution.
