Educating the community on Mental Wellness and Wellbeing. Breaking down the walls to Mental Health supports.
Otago
WEKA has been operating since 2018 and provides free Mental Health education sessions and peer support to the communities in the Otago and surrounding areas for all ages.
We are a grassroots charity and receive very little funding to keep us going. We need your support so we can keep educating the communities and families around mental wellness.
We have a open door policy, there are no boxes to access our services. We have a team of peer educators and peer support volunteers and clinicians to support you further and do community referrals
We provide:
Over 22 different education sessions with new ones coming out regularly.
1:1 peer support where we work with individuals doing Te Whare Tapa Whā model, WRAP plans, whānau safety plans, parenting support plans, sensory plans and toolbox building, strengths assessments and so much more.
We also provide many different resources to our communitkes, booklets and sensory kits that you can find at hospitals and medical centres.
The more you support us the more we can give back supporting our communities. We are currently expanding to Oamaru and Balclutha and everywhere in between.
Support us! We need you! Your community needs you!
