Wingspan's focus includes conservation and education, while also promoting awareness of the environment, the importance of biodiversity and the unique cultural heritage surrounding birds of prey.

Wingspan remains one of the few registered charities in New Zealand that doesn’t receive any central or local government funding, so the support Wingspan gets is from visitors and sponsors is absolutely vital and hugely appreciated.
More than 1000 raptors helped, rehabilitated and captive bred for release nationwide, over 40 research papers published, thousands of volunteer hours, and more than 70,000 children have held a falcon on the gauntlet.
Bringing people and wildlife together.

We aim to restore New Zealand's birds of prey into our daily lives and secure their long term future.
