Your donation will help the Trust to beautify the hall grounds for the community and to inspire the community to use it again.
Hawke's Bay
The grounds were previously owned by the Catholic Diocese and the Trust came into possession of it in 2013. The Trust is fundraising to bring the hall upto a quality community hall so that it can be used by all who are seeking a place for purposes which the Trust supports and are part of the Trusts vision.
Part of the landscaping is also to replace an existing fence and build new fences, plant native trees to bring the birds into the area build a deck with seating and install a cabin for an outside BBQ storage and coffee/tea servery.

We are the Trusts fundraising champions and project managers. We have a facebook page that informs everyone on developments at the Hall and we also ask for feedback on projected improvements and Hall useage.
About us
The Trust has been supporting local families in the Whakatu community Hastings Hawkes' Bay since 2004 whilst it underwent the process of transfer of ownership from the Catholic Church. The Trust has negotiated with the Hastings District Council for licence to occupy adjoining grounds to the Trust property that lead down to the Ngaruroro River Banks. The Trust aims to landscape, plant native trees, make raised vegetable and herb gardens and install a barbeque area for the use of local families and other community organisations.
The Trusts aim is to revitalise the use of the old Catholic Church into a community hub where people can come to and be a part of a tradition of sharing, giving and helping others in the community.
