A year’s work of blood, sweat, and tears… and she’s not giving up there!

Almost a year ago to the day began a venture of such for this MS warrior to take back control of her life & her health after a MS diagnosis in 2018 turning life on its head, not once thinking starting a new sport would light a new passion & lead to current selection to compete with the NZ wrestling team at the 2023 Oceania Championships held in August at the Sydney Olympic Park.

The Oceania event takes place from 07/08 – 09/08 encompassing top wrestlers from countries that make up the Oceania realm such as New Zealand, Australia, America Samoa, Guam, Tahiti, Northern Marianas, Palau, Micronesia, & Nauru to name a few.

The goal is to achieve half of costs required to attend, removing stress & creating a higher chance of attainability to the overall goal of representing New Zealand at 2023 Oceania’s.

Forefilling this event will empower her to further continue leading by example, providing positive role modeling in the gym, at home, in the wrestling community, and wider community. But most importantly showing those with chronic illness or stigmatic "labels" that it doesn't have to be a sentence, it can be the beginning of a new life and that stigmas are there to be broken not to be upheld.

The training has been amped up, now it’s time to do the same with achieving the financial aspect to making this reality.
