3 years ago Baby Loss NZ won a car for 3 years through the Toyota competition '25 Ways to give Thanks'. This car was due back 1st April 2016. We have been desperately trying to source funding/a sponsor to help us keep the car but sadly all attempts have failed so far.
Toyota NZ have been amazing in allowing us to continue to use the car for 6 weeks over our time frame and have granted us a last 2 weeks to see what we can do. We are fast running out of time hence this page being set up. Without our car, I cannot get to the hospital to meet precious baby’s and as we know, some babies for cultural reasons, need to be buried extremely quickly. For other families, they simply want to leave the hospital environment quickly. Without a car, these families would miss out on the precious memories we provide.
With only Josie and I meeting these families and Josie working as a full time teacher, it is me who is able to drop everything and run when a call comes in. Without the car, I cannot do that anymore. With only one income as my time is 100% voluntary, hubby and I cannot afford to buy a car for me to use.
The number of babies we meet is staggering and this year alone, we have now met 70 precious babies to make memories for and that's just in Auckland. Many of these were met during the day because of the car we won.
Please help, thank you
