Helping Blake on his long road to recovery

Blake is a nearly 6yr old boy whose Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) has just returned after being in remission since March this year. 10 days short of 1 year ago exactly was first diagnosis.

He is now facing a bone marrow transplant.

His dad, Cody, who has sole full custody of him, has again left his job to be at his side 24/7 in Christchurch.

Use of funds

Funds will be used for Cody to keep paying his rent & bills. For Blake, who is facing his 6th birthday & Xmas in hospital like last year, & to provide support for anything these 2 boys will need to turn their hospital room into a home away from home.

Road to Recovery   8 July 2025

Blake is reaching all his goals. He is still 100% donor 🤞🏻. Doctors are very happy with his progress. His school transitioning is such that he can begin getting back into mainstream school. He absolutely & genuinely loves school & is so excited. So great for his mental health too. Still have monthly checks, still have nervous waits, still have worries but they will always be there. It is now time to resume normal childhood as best he can. To every single person who has donated, sent hope, showed support, we couldn’t have got through this without all of you. Paying it forward is the best we know how to show our gratitude.
