Its time for the the Covid beard to go...Brads wife can not bear(d) it any longer!
Waikato
Like many people during lockdown, Brad stopped his normal routines – which included maintaining the hair on his face! He hasn’t picked up a razor since and the beard has now become a full blown, hearty addition to his face – much to the anguish of his wife Michelle! Brad’s decided to raise some money for True Colours Children’s Health Trust before he shaves it off!
COVID-19 has changed the world and I know a lot of charities are doing it a bit tougher as some of their funding streams have reduced. Since this started as my ‘COVID Beard’, I thought I would try do something to get people thinking about giving back to charities where they can – and True Colours are 100% community funded and continue to do great work in the community, so it was an easy choice.
For the tamariki and whanau True Colours support, COVID was yet another challenge for them to conquer, so anything we can raise to help True Colours continue to support these people is absolutely fantastic. I must admit, I have become quite attached to my beard now so it will be sad to see it go, although I’m sure the wife will be a bit happier!”
Seamus, Vivo Salon’s ambassador who works at Hamiltons Centre Place Vivo Salon will be tasked with cutting the beard off on 28 August and Ruth from Ruth Gilmour Photography has kindly agreed to capture a few photos of the occasion.
Brad has an aim to raise $2,000 and appreciates any support to the cause you can provide!
