Join Gut Foundation NZ, The Jade Kenney-Blackman Foundation & Forsyth Barr to raise funds for the #Knowyournormal app development.
Nationwide
We’re proud to partner with The Jade Kenney-Blackman Foundation (JKB) & Forsyth Barr Christchurch for this year’s City2Surf, honouring the memory of Jade Kenney-Blackman, who was lost too soon to bowel cancer. Jade’s legacy inspired Forsyth Barr Christchurch to take action in her name, raising awareness and funds to combat a disease that affects far too many New Zealanders.
This event is about more than remembrance; it’s about creating change. Together, we’re raising funds for the development of our new "Review Your Poo, #KnowYourNormal" app. This innovative tool will help Kiwis recognise early signs of bowel disease, empowering them to seek help sooner and improve outcomes. Bowel cancer is one of New Zealand’s most common cancers, yet early detection can significantly increase survival rates. The app will provide symptom trackers, resources, and guidance to encourage proactive health management.
City2Surf unites communities, bringing runners, walkers, and supporters together for a shared cause. Every step we take will bring us closer to a future where early detection saves lives.
We invite you to join us—whether by participating, donating, or spreading the word about the importance of gut health. Together, we can honour Jade’s memory and help change the statistics around bowel cancer in New Zealand.
Support our mission and help us make this vision a reality. Let’s ensure more Kiwis have the tools they need to know their normal and live healthier lives.
The Gut Foundation leads gut health awareness and research in NZ. With nearly $2M funded and thousands educated, we're driving change to improve gut health and tackle NZ's alarming gut disease statistics. Join us in creating a healthier future #Giveash*t!
All funds raised will support the development of our "Review Your Poo, #KnowYourNormal" app. This app is part of our education initiative to improve early detection, diagnosis, and awareness of bowel cancer, helping to save lives across New Zealand.
