Support Jade Blackman and the Gut Foundation by donating to the Forsyth Barr running squad of Colin Slade, Hamish McLean and Monique Arthur.
Christchurch, Canterbury
On Sunday the 21st of April 2024, Colin Slade, Hamish McLean and Monique Arthur are running in memory of their colleague Jade ‘Kenney’ Blackman.
Jade was an esteemed member of the Forsyth Barr team when she received her stage 4 bowel cancer diagnosis. At just 44, Jade passed away in January of this year, just 9 weeks after her diagnosis, devastating everyone who knew her.
The funds that the Forsyth Barr team raise will help the Gut Foundation provide lifesaving education through their ‘Know your normal, know your options’ campaign focussed on early detection and diagnosis of gut disease.
The Gut Foundation is pioneering gut health awareness and research into gut disease. We've funded almost $2m of research and educated tens of thousands of Kiwis across NZ. Help us create a positive movement in the dreadful statistics for Gut disease in NZ!
The funds raised, will help the Gut Foundation (Formerly the 'Bowel and Liver Trust Canterbury') provide life-saving education through their “Know your normal, know your options” campaign, focused on early detection and diagnosis of gut disease.
Incredible effort from our Gutsy heros! 21 April 2024
The Gutsy Hero team were amazing today! What a run! We are so grateful to Colin, Monique and Hamish for their efforts in memory of the wonderful Jade 'Kenney' Blackman, to raise much-needed funds for the Gut Foundation.
This money will be put towards the development of a digital tracking tool, to replace the paper collateral for our #giveash*t campaign. Educating all Kiwis on understanding signs and symptoms for early detection and diagnosis of bowel cancer.
The Gut Foundation is so grateful to all the incredible supporters of this fundraiser and your generous donations.
Thank you as well to Hamish Blackman, Jade's wonderful husband, for supporting this fundraising for us, in memory of Jade.
With all my gratitude, Alice - CEO of the GF
