Girls Rock Aotearoa has been helping young women, trans, intersex, takatāpui, and gender diverse youth form bands, build instrument skills, and write original songs since 2018. We are proud to announce that To the Front Tāmaki Makaurau programme is back for 2025!

We are a charitable organisation made up of musicians and music lovers with years of music industry experience. We are committed to guiding the advancement and empowerment of young women and gender diverse youth - but we can’t do it alone! Your generosity will help provide our youth the chance to create, to learn and grow, and to let their voices be heard!

By creating an inclusive, fun, and supportive environment for our young people, we’re helping to build a brighter future for music and musicians in Aotearoa.

Girls Rock Aotearoa is a music holiday programme for young women, trans, intersex, takatāpui, queer and gender diverse youth aged 12-17, where music is the medium to build confidence, empowerment and foster social change.

Use of funds

Your donation will go toward crucial costs for the 2025 programme such as equipment hire and tutor fees, ensuring we get the best tutors and put on a high-quality programme as well as offering free placements to participants from low-income families.
