Help police families get the answers they deserve

In one month in 2023, three New Zealand police families lost someone they love. Each is now facing the coronial process, and for three years most of them have done it alone.

No agency or employer funds families' representation at police death inquests. Blue Hope is filling that gap.

Lawyers with coronial experience are acting for these families at no charge. Your donation covers what they can't: expert reports, transcripts, travel to hearings, and a reserve for the next family.

$250 gets a family to a hearing day. $4,000 funds an expert report.

We need $30,000. Blue Hope has put in $5,000. We're asking you for the rest.

This isn't about blame. It's about a fair hearing, the right questions asked, and lessons that might protect the next officer.

The families have agreed to this appeal. We won't name them.
