Help Wendy Moore Continue her Going For Refuge journey

$3,193 of $5,800 goal
Given by 27 generous donors in 8 days

Lets buy Wendy an Oxygen concentrator machine so she can breathe easily on upcoming GFR retreats and attending regular ABC events.

Mount Eden, Auckland

Dear friends. Many of you will know Wendy Moore, a very active member of the Auckland Buddhist Centre. Wendy is training for ordination and is excited at the prospect of joining the Order. She also attends Sangha night and Tuesday morning Sangha session, when she can and as many non residential retreats as she can.

However she is unable to participate in Centre and training for ordination activities as much as she would like as she has a serious lung condition which means she has to be attached to an Oxygen Machine for 16 hrs a day. Her condition has deteriorated quite significantly over the last few months, meaning she really is dependent on supplementary oxygen.

We would like to help Wendy by buying her a portable Oxygen machine. Having a machine like this will mean Wendy can attend an upcoming Going For Refuge retreat, as well as events at the centre.

Her medical team have suggested that a Inogen Rove6 oxygen concentrator would be the most suitable for her. These are $5850 and can run for 10hrs depending on flow settings.

Are you able to help Wendy be as independent as possible, and deepen her Going For Refuge and connect with Sangha.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
