Please help us to help Wendy live in a wheelchair friendly home.
Manawatu / Whanganui
Wendy has lived in her house for 10 years.
The wallpaper is that is hanging off the walls and non existent in other rooms , it’s not painted it’s a shell of a home and her wheelchair has chewed a huge hole in her living room carpet we need her to feel like she has a homely home like everyone else.
She also needs new spouting outside as it’s all rusty.
Wendy does everything for everyone and puts everyone before her own needs.
This is a way we can give back to her.
When I walked in her home for the first time it took my breath away that someone with a disability is living this way, in fact that anyone can live like this in this day and age
I suggested a working bee that we can come in and help her with decorating and fixtures
we just need the funds to achieve this.
That’s why I’ve set the Givealittle for Wendy so we can get wallpaper, wooden flooring that can’t get chewed up in her wheels , some nice homely rugs , curtains, cushions, couch, a Tv etc
to make it feel like a home not a hovel of a home
We need to clean up the outside and make it more wheelchair accessible.
Wendy has always been in a wheelchair all of her life as she was born with Spina Bifida and
lost one leg in 2004 and the other in 2006, due medical complications
A spine injury suffered in 1995 due to be being dropped in her wheelchair backwards.
Wendy suffers with depression, anxiety, PTSD, PTS , diabetes , high blood pressure and on going health issues.
To have your support for Wendy would mean the world to all of us and especially the cats that she rescues.
I am Lizzy Lumb and I’m a friend of Wendy’s that has been absolutely disgusted at the way Wendy is living and want to do my best to help her have happy surroundings to live in.
The use of funds raised will go on flooring , paint, wallpaper, couch , soft furnishings, blinds curtains new spouting and a skip for outside.
Any funds left over will go to the ally cat trust as Wendy’s passion is helping rescue cats.
