Please help us to feed and care for Maggie's community cats!
Onehunga, Auckland
Maggie of Onehunga, Auckland, passed away recently, suddenly and unexpectedly. Maggie had cared for many community cats in Onehunga over many years - de-sexing and feeding them and getting them veterinary care as required. We know Maggie would very much want the cats she meant so much to (as they did to her) to continue to be cared for, but the cost of cat food is a significant barrier to finding local volunteers to carry on this compassionate work. Maggie was a proud member of the Community Cat Coalition (CCC), and CCC has set up this page to try to establish a reserve of cat food which will make it possible for the local community to step up.
The Community Cat Coalition Inc. supports carers of Auckland's community (stray or semi-owned) cats. Our big focus is community cat de-sexing, because there are too many kittens being born and it's impossible to find enough good homes!
Cat food. Onehunga is a challenged area socio-economically, but we know we can find the volunteers to care for Maggie's cats if we help them with the food.
