Where dogs with medical needs get a voice - and a second chance.
Wellington, Masterton District
On November 7th, sweet Spot was brought into the care of Chance 4 Change after being rescued from the pound. At 12 years of age, she had never been spayed. During what was meant to be a routine spay on 27/12/25, vets discovered a mammary tumour. The news was heartbreaking - but we’re grateful it was found in time, as it wasn’t small.
Despite her age, Spot is full of joy. She’s active, bright, and loves every moment of life. Faced with the difficult choices of doing nothing, euthanasia, or surgical removal, we chose to fight for her and give her the chance she deserves.
Spot has now been spayed and had her tumour removed, but we urgently need help to cover her surgery bill of $978.20.
If you’re able to contribute - no matter the amount - you'll be giving Spot the gift of more happy days ahead. And if you’re unable to donate, a simple share can help more than you know.
Thank you for opening your heart to our beautiful girl.
