This has been a project we have dreamt about for years and in recent months with the support of Porirua City Council and the Rotary Club of Plimmerton is about to come true. We're well into the planning stages of what an inclusive play space will look like and all will be revealed at the Charity Gala Dinner being held at the Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua on the evening of the 5th December.

If you are unable to make the Dinner and can contribute in some way to our fundraising effort it would greatly appreciated. All funds raised for this cause will assist in making Porirua's play areas inclusive for all, especially those with disabilities and their families.

About us

The purpose of the Āhuru Mōwai Trust is to create safe spaces and places that enrich the lives of families with children who have extra and special needs. Places where they find acceptance, respite and support for the whole family.

Use of funds

Funds raised will be used to purchase play equipment, contribute to landscaping and other amenities to create a safe space for families raising children with extra and special needs, so they too can enjoy some fun filled quality outside time.
