Joe is running the Hawke's Bay Marathon to help UpsideDowns support kids like his son Otis who are born with Down syndrome.
Auckland
This year, I turn 40 and Otis turns 10 and to 'celebrate', I've entered the Hawkes Bay Marathon. For extra motivation, I'm going to raise some money for the Upside Downs Education Trust.
Over the years, Upside Downs has supported us with speech language therapy for Otis, so its our time to give back to them!
To inspire you to 'go big' with your donation, I'm aiming to do 42km in under 3 hours (only 4% of male runners go sub 3 hours!).
We've set our target at $10,000...but the more the better!
I'll update everyone along the way via instagram (josephspayton).
So get in behind us for a great cause!
Thanks.
Otis and Joe.
The UpsideDowns Education Trust assists kids with Down syndrome in receiving life-changing speech language therapy. Can you help us give a voice to kids with Down syndrome?
