Kia eke te Maunga (Climb the Mountain)

$5,165 donated

The kaupapa around the Upper Hutt School Givealittle page is to provide a platform for whanau to donate towards Kia eke te Maunga.

Upper Hutt, Wellington

Kia eke te Maunga means to “Climb the Mountain”. Every year our whole school walks or runs up Kingsley Heights and back. Every student sets and completes an appropriate wero (challenge). This builds their resilience and determination. The overall distance is approximately 4.5 kilometers. Kia kaha tamariki ma!

This year we are wanting to raise funds for the Year 5 and 6 Camp which will be held in Term 4 this year. When our whole school helps raise funds for the bi-annual camp, it means every child can experience a camp while they are at Upper Hutt School!

About us

At Upper Hutt School, every learner deserves a positive future.

Use of funds

This year we are wanting to raise funds for two important things: swings at school :) and the Year 5 and 6 Camp (which will next be held in 2023).
