Sore feet for 'Happy Feet'! We are running a marathon to help out the Dunedin Wildlife Hospital.
Southland
We are a couple of mates with a passion for penguins and a loathing for running... so, in exchange for a few months of training, torture, and participation in the Christchurch Marathon, we're raising coin for some intensive care units for the Dunedin Wildlife Hospital! This was set up by veterinarian Lisa Argilla over summer and aims to treat the South Island's native wildlife under expert veterinary care in a Dunedin-based facility. It means that some of our endadngered penguin species like the hoiho/yellow-eyed penguin can get amazing treatment and care. You can find out more about the hospital on their givealittle and facebook pages - https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/dunedinwildlifehospital

Give us a flipper and donate :-) any amount will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a bunch!

We just want to give something back to our wildlife. As vets ourselves, we understand the time, effort, expertise and resources this sort of establishment requires.
We need to raise $2552 for one of these: https://www.chookmanor.co.nz/vetario-t50m-intensive-care-unit
[Chook Manor have given us a discounted price and have agreed to pay for shipping!]
Signed, sealed, DELIVERED! 3 July 2017
Kiaora team! Just to let you all know that the ICU has been safely delivered to the crew in charge of the wildlife hospital. We drove up to Dunedin last week to attend a stake-holders meeting and hand over the glorious unit. The hospital itself is hopefully going to open in January 2018, in the Otago Polytech building where the vet nursing courses are situated. Our donation (your donation!) was received with rapturous applause and is much appreciated by the trust board. Be sure to follow the hospital's Facebook page for further updates! Many, many thanks, David & Maddie
