About Andrew:
I have been in Queenstown a year and a half. Having come over to visit my twin Sister Pam - I haven’t left. I am at present working at Southern Lakes ITM.
Since coming to Queenstown, it has been the best time ever and having done so many “1st’s” this is just my latest.in a growing list. I have competed in 3 half marathons and was due to compete in the Legendary “routeburn race” were it not for a last minute cancellation.
I was at last years Stars on Ice and have to say it was so much fun, so when the opportunity came to put my name forward I couldn’t resist.
Having said that, if you look up examples of what to do to get yourself out of your “comfort zone” this would be top of the list
Ang and the team @ Stars on Ice have been so supportive,it is just fantastic to be able to support such an enthusiastic Club and must thank my Ice Partner Marsha for her patience (always with a smile on her face) and encouragement.
About Marsha:
I was born in Queenstown and currently attend Wakatipu High School as a year 11 student. I picked up figure skating roughly 4 years ago and am now assisting Deanna with the Kiwiskate class, however this will be my first stars on ice experience. Although a 6:30am start is hard to accomplish the journey so far has been great. The hard work being put into this show really pays off, we are able to notice the guests improve enormously in the short amount of time given and I am sure the show will be amazing. XD
About us
Familiar faces have signed up to skate and are working hard to perfect their choreographic routines.
Fundraising from Stars on Ice will give the club a huge opportunity to give all club skaters the time on the ice they need.
Use of funds
All funds go towards purchasing ice time for the Club skaters to practice and develop their skills and follow their passion of figure skating.
