Fly's Emergency Dental Treatment

$400 of $1,000 goal
Given by 15 generous donors in 8 weeks

Sometimes the animals in our care require emergency vet attention, which puts a large financial strain on New Lives Animal Rescue.

Waikato

Fly (an 8+ year old heading dog) is one of our dogs who requires more veterinary care than usual.

When Fly was brought into our care he was immediately checked out by our Vet. Unfortunately it was discovered that Fly’s teeth are in a terrible state and a suspicious lump was also found in his mouth. We quickly booked him in to have the lump removed. The lump was sent away for testing and thankfully the results showed that the lump is not cancer! Yay for Fly!

Now we can move forward and have booked Fly in for his extensive dental treatment he urgently requires. The relief he will feel with a mouth free of rotten teeth will give him a new lease on life and help him to enjoy his retirement when we find him his forever home!

Meanwhile, Fly is in a wonderful foster home where he is being treated like a king and enjoying his first days of retirement.

Huge unexpected vet bills like this put a large financial strain on the New Lives Animal Rescue funds. The vet bill for Fly is in excess of $1,200, and we are in desperate need to raise some money to help us recover some of these costs.

New Lives Animal Rescue is a not for profit charity, we rely solely on donations and the generosity from members of the public.

Please help support New Lives Animal Rescue so we can continue to help more animals in need like Fly!!

New Lives Animal Rescue's involvement (page creator)

I have been personally involved with New Lives Animal Rescue since before its inception in 2014. I am a fosterer but I also help with admin & fundraising. Animals are my passion, particularly dogs, and being involved with charities, such as New Lives Animal Rescue, is very rewarding.

About us

Established in 2014, New Lives Animal Rescue is a not for profit organisation that specializes in rescuing and re-homing dogs and puppies, but can also accommodate other species where possible.

New Lives is based in the Waikato region, however, will potentially provide support to animals New Zealand wide.

We work with Pounds to rescue unwanted, neglected and unclaimed dogs and will assist where possible when people find themselves needing to rehome their animals for genuine reasons.

If we are unable to assist, we will work with other organisations to achieve a positive outcome for the animal(s).

At New Lives Animal Rescue we are passionate about rehoming into forever families. We are also actively engaged in encouraging, supporting and educating the community on the importance of de-sexing dogs and cats, so that in the future there are less unwanted animals who end up in the pound as a result of over breeding.
