In Time Trust is a New Zealand based non-profit working in Nepal's most remote and impoverished area - the Karnali zone. We support the Kailash Bodhi School in Jumla. The school is open to children of all castes but strives to preserve the cultural heritage of Mugumpa children who are of Tibetan descent and Dalit children who are of the untouchable caste.
We are excited to announce that in 2014 the In Time Trust raised sufficient funds to complete the downstairs section of the school - nine classrooms.
Current conditions for learning are primitive and it is absolutely fundamental that we finish this school. The Trust works to ensure these children are receiving the education they need to break the cycle of poverty that exists here. In Time Trust employs a Tibetan language teacher and ensures all children at the school have uniforms, text books and stationary. With your help, you can ensure a bright future exists for the children in Jumla. Please give a little to build a new future for this community!
The Kailash Bodhi School was established in 2005 to preserve the language and culture of the Tibetan (Mugumpa) people an indigenous population who have lived for centuries at the foot of the Himalayas in Nepal. In 2005 KBS Jumla opened its doors to twenty-five children. Today there are more than six hundred and fifty children attending the school. The In Time Trust provides classrooms, teachers, text books, stationery and school uniforms so these children can receive the education they need to break the cycle of poverty that exists there.
