Phase Two: Auckland Council Assessment Fee

We now need to raise $4,500 by 22 July 2026 to cover the Auckland Council assessment fee and move to the next stage of our resource consent application.

Why do we need resource consent? The honest truth is that we moved quickly because animals needed us. Dogs were being abandoned, abused and neglected, and we chose to save them first while working through the paperwork afterwards. We are now doing everything required to become fully compliant.

Today, 30 dogs call WAGS home. They are survivors of neglect, abuse and abandonment. We provide food, veterinary care, rehabilitation, training, safety and, most importantly, hope.

If we cannot complete every stage of this resource consent process, WAGS will be forced to close and every dog currently in our care will be seized by Animal Management. We cannot let their stories end that way.
