Help WAGS Rescue NZ Secure Our Sanctuary

WAGS Rescue NZ is fighting to secure Resource Consent so we can continue operating our rescue sanctuary and keep saving dogs with nowhere else to go.

Every dog we rescue has a story.

Abandoned puppies.

Neglected dogs.

Scared dogs who have never known safety, stability, or love.

Our sanctuary gives them a second chance.

Here they recover, decompress, receive veterinary care, learn to trust again, and eventually move on to loving forever homes. For many of these dogs, this is the first safe place they have ever known.

But now we are facing one of the biggest challenges in our rescue journey.

To continue operating legally, we are required to complete a full Resource Consent process. This includes planning reports, acoustic assessments, environmental and compliance costs, and professional fees all of which are extremely expensive for a volunteer-run rescue.

We are not a commercial boarding facility.

We are a registered charity run by people who simply refuse to give up on unwanted dogs.

Every dollar raised will go directly towards helping secure the future of our sanctuary so we can continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need.
