Rachel Rescues takes in stray, wild, abandoned and homeless kitties
Wellington
It's that time again where wildborn kitties are coming out left right and centre. Cats are breeding and Mummas and kittens are in most need of saving, as well as so many Tom cats. Rescue enquiries are coming in quick and it's just the beginning.
As Rachel Rescues we take in stray, wild and homeless kitties with capable fosters but without steady donations to upkeep these kitties, rescue becomes very difficult.
Each kitten costs $150-200 monthly to feed depending on diet, and basic vet costs with defleaing, worming etc is $250+.
Any and all donations and support is much appreciated 🙏 Thank you
We are also fundraising for Headquarters costs (Rent, Utility Bills, Upkeep) here: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/kittycat-rescue-needs-an-hq

Tiki #2 10 October 2023
Tiki is FIV+. His left eye ruptured long ago and his top canines need removing. He is likely wildborn and sick of rough living.
For FIV Cats it's most important we have two ongoing resources: A long-term foster, and steady finances.
My instincts tell me this boy deserves more. He wants more. I opted out of euthanasia and asked he be desexed and receive treatment for his eyes. 48hrs with him is not enough, especially when his health issues are minor. I'd like to continue to assess him and see how his eyes recover.
Unless big funds are found we can't book in for his dental surgery yet but would like to. Unless a long term foster is found Wainui Whiskers will eventually take him, but it would be nice to get his teeth sorted in the meantime.
